Scholarships and Retraining Opportunities
- Scholarship assistance are available for laid off workers through Individual Training Accounts (ITA) for classroom or vocational training. ITAs can be used for books, tuition, fees, tools, and other expenses incurred during training. For more information, contact or visit your nearest Missouri Career Center.
- Missouri Career Advancement Accounts (CAA) are available to help workers impacted by changes in the automotive industry. CAAs are personal accounts that can be used to pay for expenses directly related to improving job skills, such as tuition, books and fees. - Trade scholarships are available for certified workers whose manufacturing jobs are lost due to foreign trade resulting in increased imports and shifts of production operations out of the United States. These scholarships are an expanded coverage and benefits program which includes career counseling, scholarship and retraining opportunities, help finding new employment, and job search and certain relocation allowances.
